About the Role

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats participants upon referral by the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) in accordance with the order from the physician.

Provides treatment through a variety of therapeutic procedures and activities, as well as the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment, with the intent of maximizing functional potential and safety for the participant.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates and treats participants upon referral by the IDT
  • Provides treatment through various therapeutic procedures and activities
  • Uses assistive devices and adaptive equipment to maximize functional potential and safety
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education or the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Passed the NBCOT OTR examination
  • Licensed in the state of Kentucky as an Occupational Therapist
  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification
  • Licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements, with personal auto liability insurance of $100,000/$300,000 in bodily injury coverage
  • 3 years' experience preferred, a minimum of 2 years' experience with geriatrics required
