Electrical Estimator

Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate costs: Analyze blueprints, determine wire lengths, and price fixtures and installation costs
- Manage projects: Communicate with accounting and estimating support, and advise management on project risk
- Prepare documents: Draft proposal letters, and submit, track, and quote RFIs and responses
- Procure materials: Source suppliers and procure sub-contract works and supply items
- Financial management: Produce cost plans and budgets, and manage financial matters
- Tendering: Ensure tender documents are correct and technically accurate, and prepare and submit electrical tenders
- Proficient in Sage/Timberline software
- Ability to quickly learn new software programs such as ProCore, Accubid, BlueBeam
- Minimum 5-10 years of current industrial electrical estimation work
- Bachelor's degree and/or certification from an electrician training program
To succeed in this role, you must have a thorough understanding of industrial electrical work, teamwork dynamics, and be able to anticipate and negotiate potential issues. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse teams are essential.
