We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated X-Ray Technician to join our team at Concentra. As a Medical Support Specialist & X-Ray Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to safeguard patients and colleagues.
- Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting any malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
- Follow all Radiology workflows and ensure accurate documentation of patient x-ray visits.
- Maintain x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
- Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
- Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing.
- Perform rapid screening tests, assist providers during examinations, and triage emergent patients as needed.
- Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
- Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician, in accordance with state regulations.
- Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, as well as testing processes used in the center.
- Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.
- Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Certifications and/or Licenses: Completion of state-approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license by the state in which employed, if applicable.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Customarily has at least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
- Customarily has at least six months of demonstrated experience in X-Ray and familiarity with routine medical procedures.
- Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) is preferred with prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service-related experience.
