We are looking for a Classroom Aide to assist teachers and students in the classroom. As a Classroom Aide, you will provide support in various aspects of teaching, including reinforcing academic areas, discipline procedures, and behavior modification programs.

You will also teach groups or individuals, grade papers, keep attendance, and record grades. Additionally, you will assist in lesson plans, developing classroom materials, and maintaining student and classroom files. You will accompany students to elective or special classes when necessary, assist on field trips, and supervise children during rehearsals and performances.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent physical health, as lifting, climbing, crawling, restraining, transferring, and positioning of students are essential duties of this position. The ideal candidate will have met one of the following credential requirements: two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 hours of college coursework), an associate's degree (or higher), or passed the Workkeys Test (Bronze+), ParaPro Assessment (455+), or the OGET.

The salary for this position is $14.15-$16.13 per hour, commensurate with experience. Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Principal in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies, state law, and the negotiated agreement with the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE).
