Team Lead Athletic Trainer

Position Overview:

  • Working hours: 7 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (may vary)
  • Compensation: $35 - $40 per hour, depending on experience
  • Sign-On Incentive: $5,000

Support Structure:

  • Medical guidance and oversight provided by the Medical Director and Medical Client Lead
  • Reports to: Assistant Operations Manager
  • Collaborative efforts with the Tang & Company network of Athletic Trainers

Role Description: The Team Lead Athletic Trainer will function as a contracted employee for clients, overseeing a team of 2-3 athletic trainers. This position demands robust clinical expertise and leadership capabilities to enhance safety, health, and wellness within a manufacturing environment. Additionally, the role offers opportunities for professional growth within the industrial athletic training field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate within the defined scope of athletic training practice and applicable regulations
  • Deliver early intervention care to employees to mitigate injury risks
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the client's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Human Resources (HR), and Operational Leadership
  • Engage in client meetings and participate in relevant committees
  • Contribute to the establishment and attainment of strategic objectives aligned with CAREonsite services
  • Design and implement training programs as required
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient care

Required Qualifications:

  • Iowa Athletic Training Licensure or eligibility
  • Current Basic Life Support and CPR certification
  • Physical capability for immediate patient response
  • Ability to work autonomously

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in business-to-business interactions
  • Critical thinking skills with a capacity for innovative problem-solving
