Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU

The Detroit Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Job Summary:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, lab results, and other data to identify potential complications and take appropriate action.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care and effective communication.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Implement care plans, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' responses to care, and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and seamless transitions of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
