Job Summary

This part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is a staff position that has direct care responsibilities as well as supervisor responsibility for caregivers. The LPN is responsible for supervising nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that resident's needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, facility policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise nursing personnel to deliver nursing care
  • Coordinate care delivery to ensure resident's needs are met
  • Implement facility policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local guidelines
Requirements
  • 2-3 years clinical experience
  • Gerontological nursing experience, including dementia population, preferred
  • Valid and current LPN/LVN state license
  • Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment
  • Ability to read, write and speak English in an understandable manner
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 20 pounds, unassisted on a frequent basis
  • Full use of gross and fine motor skills of the upper and lower extremities
