About the Role

Rio Grande Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and complete patient paperwork, including exam scheduling, physician orders, and department logs.
  • Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER.
  • Monitor equipment for mechanical safety and explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties.
  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices for optimal views.
  • Work collaboratively with the Diagnostic Imaging team to meet departmental needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Technologist.
  • Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).
  • CT registry is preferred.
  • MRI registry is required within 6 months from date of hire for MRI registry-eligible candidates.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital-imaging department.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
