Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients at admission and at required time points to determine their speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of treatment to improve communication and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and training to clients and their families on communication and swallowing techniques.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology granted by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
  • Registration or license to practice as a speech pathologist in the state of Iowa.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Current Driver's license and reliable transportation.
