Heavy Equipment Operator

At Metalico, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely handling and moving material, operating heavy equipment such as excavators, magnets, and grapples, and maintaining daily logs of equipment usage and maintenance.
Responsibilities:- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, magnets, and grapples to move and load material.
- Maintain daily logs of equipment usage and maintenance.
- Identify and report hazards, and take corrective action to prevent accidents.
- Perform tasks in accordance with health, safety, and environmental rules.
- Work effectively with other site personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Heavy equipment certification is a plus.
- 2 plus years of heavy equipment operation experience.
- Organizational skills, able to multi-task.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently.
