Job Summary and Qualifications

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers exceptional, patient-centered care by executing a variety of delegated basic patient care services.

In collaboration with the RN and other members of the healthcare team, the LPN provides tailored, comprehensive care in line with the standards of the specialty.


Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN.
Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as instructed.
Conduct lab and procedural tests within the LPN scope of practice, following competency demonstration.
Document care administration in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
Serve as a resource for department staff, students, and volunteers to facilitate quality patient care.

Qualifications:
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate.
