Job Description:

The Health Care District of Palm Beach County is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our informatics team, you will play a critical role in optimizing the use of electronic health records (EHR) and other clinical information systems to enhance patient care and streamline clinical workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Informatics Systems and Training:
    • Design and implement effective informatics systems to support clinical workflow optimization;
    • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure seamless adoption of EHR systems among healthcare providers and staff;
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and prioritize informatics needs across various clinical settings.
  • Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting:
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in patient care and operational performance;
    • Develop and maintain data-driven dashboards and reports to support informed decision-making;
    • Lead initiatives to automate manual data collection methods and ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data.
  • Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with leadership teams to assess and develop informatics-related projects and initiatives;
    • Foster cross-functional partnerships to drive organizational change and improve clinical outcomes;
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of informatics strategies and goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Informatics; Master's degree preferred;
  • 5+ years of experience in multiple clinical settings, including hospital, ambulatory, and skilled nursing settings;
  • Proven expertise in Epic EHR systems and strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
