Job Summary:
The Nursing Department at Avera McKennan expects all nurses to demonstrate competent nursing care and uphold a professional demeanor in their role as a Clinical Nurse. The American Nurses Association (ANA) scope and standards of practice are integral to this position.
The Clinical Nurse is accountable for employing the nursing process to deliver care to patients, taking responsibility for their actions and the outcomes of care provided during their shifts.
This role may require flexibility to support other locations as needed.
Qualifications:
Graduation from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. An approved nursing program is acceptable. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is highly preferred.
A minimum of three years of critical care experience is required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meet multi-state licensure requirements. North Dakota EMS registration is required within 90 days of hire.
Completion of life-saving education specific to the specialty area is strongly encouraged. Certification as a Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) must be obtained within two years of hire.
Membership in a professional organization is encouraged.
A valid driver's license is required, and the employee must be insurable by Avera Health's automobile liability insurance.
Work Schedule:
~ Rotating Shifts; 72 hours/2 weeks
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position is based on experience, with a range starting at approximately $46.50 per hour.
