Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in administrative duties and ensure high standards of patient care.
- Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds to monitor and assess resident needs.
- Facilitate compliance and maintain effective communication across all nursing levels.
- Address the healthcare needs of all residents effectively.
- Participate in the on-call nursing leadership rotation alongside the DNS and Nurse Managers.
- Oversee the comprehensive planning and coordination of nursing services.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of nursing principles and practices.
- Ensure the accurate and timely management of medical documentation.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation processes for new nursing personnel.
- Manage daily staffing requirements efficiently.
- Implement infection control measures.
- Adapt work schedules to meet the dynamic needs of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Valid State RN license is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care environments is required.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in a management role.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in staff education.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and supervisory experience are required.
- Flexibility in work hours is necessary.
