POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a committed, full-time Licensed Physician Assistant to become a part of our esteemed internal medicine practice. Our facility caters to patients aged 15 and above with primary healthcare requirements, guided by a physician who has received training from a prestigious medical institution and serves a patient demographic that includes numerous healthcare professionals.

In this position, you will operate autonomously while working closely with our diverse team to oversee the treatment of complex, acute, critical, and chronic patients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing thorough history and physical assessments tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Prescribing suitable pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment modalities.
  • Implementing strategies to assist patients in achieving or maintaining physiological stability.
  • Making appropriate referrals and collaborating with team members from various disciplines.
  • Educating patients and their families to support informed healthcare decisions.
  • Diagnosing and managing acute infections, injuries, and illnesses.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic evaluations such as x-rays and electrocardiograms (EKGs).
  • Documenting and analyzing patient medical histories, diagnoses, and symptoms.
  • Guiding patients in health management and developing comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Providing medication management, including discussions about potential side effects and interactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Order and evaluate diagnostic tests as necessary, consulting with the supervising physician as required.
  • Review patient laboratory results and assist the physician with follow-up communications.
  • Manage routine prescription renewals.
  • Conduct preventive care appointments as well as consultations for acute illnesses.
  • Handle a patient load of 10-18 individuals daily, with the capacity to see up to 21 patients in exceptional circumstances.

WORK SCHEDULE & BENEFITS

  • No after-hours on-call responsibilities—these are managed by the physicians.
  • No regular weekend hours; occasional time may be necessary for lab reviews or other administrative tasks, with compensation considered accordingly.
  • Attractive compensation package, including eligibility for a year-end bonus pool, comprehensive benefits, and a 401(k) plan with matching contributions after one year.
