City Planner

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled City Planner to join our team at the City of Morgantown. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in urban planning, development services, and community engagement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Development Services Director in various assignments related to city operations and programs. This includes attending civic and public meetings, explaining aspects of the City's Planning and Zoning Code, and providing technical assistance to the Planning Commission and City Council.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Chief Building Official, Community Development Services Coordinator, and other administrative staff to develop and implement city policies and procedures. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with community agencies on planning, transportation, and economic development projects.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Key Responsibilities**

• Assist the Development Services Director in various assignments related to city operations and programs.

**Requirements**

• Bachelor's degree in City and Regional Planning, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
• Four to six years of professional experience in urban planning, development services, or a related field.
• A valid driver's license and ability to obtain AICP certification within one year of hire.

**Salary:** $63,436.91 - $72,336.35 per annum
