Job Summary

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to work in a school setting in Avondale, Arizona. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with students to assess, screen, evaluate, and share results with parents and the school interdisciplinary team. You will develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students, review goals and objectives, and make recommendations for appropriate care plans.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and screen students to identify communication and swallowing disorders
  • Evaluate students to determine the nature and extent of their communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students, including goals and objectives
  • Review and revise IEPs as needed
  • Communicate with parents and the school interdisciplinary team to share results and recommendations
  • Establish a positive learning environment and provide response to intervention for the needs of each student
Requirements
  • Master's degree in education or equivalent experience with a bachelor's degree
  • Arizona SLP License
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • School experience is preferred but not required
  • ASHA Certification
