Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team on a PRN basis. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Document patient care provided.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications must be obtained within one year from hire.
- STABLE certification preferred.
- Current NM RN license or appropriate compact RN licensure.
