The PRN Registered Nurse at Regency Integrated Health Services plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care that enhances the overall physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents. This position is essential in ensuring that each resident receives personalized attention based on thorough assessments and tailored care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular rounds to observe, assess, document, and report any changes in resident conditions.
- Ensure the execution of care plans as instructed by the healthcare team.
- Administer prescribed medications with precision and care.
- Collaborate with physicians during rounds and accurately document visits in clinical records.
- Perform narcotic reconciliations during shift changes to maintain medication accuracy.
- Recognize significant changes in residents' health and take appropriate actions in accordance with facility protocols.
- Supervise and support nursing aides in their duties.
- Complete Incident and Accident Reports following facility guidelines.
- Facilitate resident discharges in line with established policies.
- Conduct Nursing Assessments prior to contacting physicians regarding any changes in resident conditions.
- Maintain open communication with residents' points of contact regarding status updates or changes in health.
- Participate in special projects or additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Nurses or Administrator.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an accredited RN program.
- Licensure: Must hold an active Registered Nurse license in good standing in the state of Texas.
- Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
