Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nursing Department Supervisor to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a leader in patient care, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating unit staffing, ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.
  • Contributes to or performs performance evaluations of staff.
  • Assesses daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Previous 1-2 years recent related clinical nursing experience and a demonstrated level of performance and practice required.

Additional Information:

  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
  • BLS (American Heart Association).
