This role is situated within the Science and Resource Management Division, contributing to the conservation efforts of natural resources.
Employment Type
This is a Career-Seasonal position, which offers permanent employment benefits while requiring work only during specific months of the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and systematically organize field data.
- Implement quality control measures for data integrity.
- Conduct routine testing on collected biological samples.
- Document all findings and report to supervisors or senior specialists.
- Observe and assess natural resource conditions in the field.
- Assist higher-level specialists in data analysis and reporting.
- Provide logistical support and orientation for external scientists.
- Manage and maintain resource management tools and equipment.
- Conduct inventory and calibration of equipment as required.
- Utilize various software applications for data management and reporting.
- Organize and maintain computer databases efficiently.
- Prepare diverse correspondence and internal reports based on collected information.
- Maintain office records and support the overall office operations.
Employment Conditions
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- Appointment is contingent upon successful background checks.

Experience Requirements:

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field is required, with specific coursework in biological sciences.
Volunteer Experience:
Experience gained through volunteer work is also considered valuable and can contribute to meeting qualification requirements.
