Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities:
  • Triage and care for laboring patients under the direction of the Maternal Child Manager/Director.
  • Employ critical thinking to integrate objective data with knowledge gained from an assessment of the subjective experiences of patients.
  • Apply the best available evidence and research data to the processes of diagnosis and treatment.
  • Continually evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and seek to optimize outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • 1 year of the last 2 years, recent experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery, or as an RN in an acute care setting and successful completion of applicable clinical and didactic SRDH specialty training program.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN = Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
  • CT CPRBLS = AHA Basic Life Support-Nat'l.
  • CT NRP = Neonatal Resuscitation-Nat'l.
  • CT CPRACLS = Advanced Cardiac Life Support-Nat'l.
  • CT EFM = Electronic Fetal Monitoring-Nat'l - within 6 months of hire.
  • CT AFM = Advanced Fetal Monitoring; CPR - within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years of the last 5 years recent experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery or equivalent in a setting with 100 births/month.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Certification in Specialty Area.
