Corrosion Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Corrosion Engineer to contribute to a high-profile government contract. As a Corrosion Engineer, you will collaborate with a talented team to provide technical expertise to the government customer, ensuring the weapon system remains reliable and effective. Your responsibilities will include identifying corrosion effects, evaluating potential corrosion, and implementing or improving corrosion mitigations.

• Conduct engineering and technical analyses, and report on findings
• Review program documentation and technical data
• Evaluate plans, reports, and requirements
• Assess alternate materials and substrates to address concerns, reduce hazardous material usage, and implement pollution prevention measures
• Peer review to ensure alignment
• Provide recommendations to the government customer

• Commitment to results and success in accomplishing goals, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn technology and understand unique system requirements
• Ability to sit on-site at Hill AFB in Clearfield, UT
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Eligibility for a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
• Zero to two years of professional experience
• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Corrosion Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program

• Familiarity with metal alloys
• Understanding of how various metals interact with environmental elements as it relates to corrosion
• National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) training or certification highly desired
• Bachelor's degree in Corrosion Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Materials Science Engineering preferred
• Active Secret Clearance
