Position: Cashier

Key Responsibilities:


The primary role of the
Cashier is to deliver exceptional customer service, embody our Mission and Core Values, drive sales, maintain store cleanliness, assist with merchandising, manage pricing, operate cash registers (POS), prevent loss, and support the management team.


Cashiers play a vital role in fostering a customer-centric environment and are crucial in providing an outstanding shopping experience.

Reporting Structure: Reports to Store Manager, Assistant Manager

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure every customer receives top-notch service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, greeting and acknowledging each individual, and upholding high standards of service and product knowledge.
  • Stay informed about all product details, promotional offers, and advertisements.
  • Assist with store layout changes, merchandising, display upkeep, and overall store cleanliness.
  • Help with the processing and restocking of merchandise; engage in receiving and managing floor stock; ensure procedures are followed promptly.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and practices, including pricing, signing, and loss prevention measures.
  • Efficiently and accurately complete all sales transactions while maintaining proper cash management at POS registers.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by store management as needed.
  • Relay customer inquiries and requests to management.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with retail computer systems; knowledge of MS Word and Excel is advantageous.
  • A dedication to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Outstanding communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting, moving, and handling up to 60 pounds regularly to stock merchandise.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to bend, reach, lift, and climb as necessary.
