Responsibilities
The Lab Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of our laboratory by focusing on media preparation, dishware management, and general lab maintenance. This includes preparing and sterilizing growth media, buffers, and reagents following established protocols, washing, sterilizing, and organizing laboratory glassware, plasticware, and equipment, maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe laboratory environment, including workstations, storage areas, and common equipment, autoclaving biological waste, media, and lab tools as needed, monitoring and restocking laboratory supplies, including media ingredients, dishware, and cleaning supplies, assisting in maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards, ensuring all waste is disposed of correctly, supporting researchers with basic tasks as requested, including setting up experiments or assisting with sample preparation, and keeping accurate records of media preparation and inventory, ensuring laboratory needs are consistently met.

Qualifications
An Associate's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field is required. Familiarity with basic laboratory procedures and aseptic techniques is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards are essential, as well as ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic environment, effective communication and teamwork skills, and basic computer skills for maintaining records and inventory.
