Key Responsibilities- Assist with the implementation of individualized care plans to ensure the highest level of resident satisfaction and care.
- Conduct regular resident rounds to monitor their comfort, safety, and cleanliness, and address any concerns promptly.
- Provide a range of care services, including bathing, feeding, oral care, and mobility assistance, with a focus on promoting independence and dignity.
- Document resident activities, intakes, and outputs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Wake residents, assist with morning grooming, and move them to the dining room as needed.
- Change soiled and unsoiled linen, distribute clean towels, and ensure resident safety at all times.
- Observe and report any changes in resident condition, take vital signs as required, and safely lift and reposition residents.
- Pick up meal trays, distribute snacks, and encourage participation in restorative measures and activities.
- Intervene in resident disputes or disruptive behavior, if necessary, to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
- Current Texas Nurse Aide Certification
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Professional knowledge of basic healthcare practices and procedures, including infection control
- Ability to instruct residents in healthcare measures and methods of improving medical services
- Working knowledge of resident restraints and ability to perform physical requirements of the job
- Attention to detail and ability to exercise patience, tact, initiative, judgment, and confidentiality
- Ability to recognize changes in resident appearance, attitude, and condition
- Personality attuned to meeting the needs of the infirm and aged, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) plus a minimum of 1 year prior experience as a nursing assistant or other equivalent training
- Prior experience in customer service
