Behavioral Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Specialist to lead our Autism Program at Sheppard Pratt School in Lanham. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with autism spectrum disorder.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive behavioral intervention plans for students in the Autism program, ensuring timely completion and continuous evaluation.
- Collaborate with education and treatment teams to provide behavior support and management services, serving as a valuable resource to teachers, staff, and families.
- Supervise Assistant Behavior Specialists and/or Resource Specialists assigned to the program, providing guidance and support to ensure successful implementation of behavioral plans.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress, utilizing data collection and analysis skills to inform program development and improvement.
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Psychology, Special Education, or a closely related field of study, accompanied by 2-3 years of experience in behavior assessment and management, particularly with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or autism.
- Internal candidates with Bachelor's degrees and 4-5 years of relevant experience may be considered, provided they are enrolled in Master's degree programs upon hire and remain enrolled until completion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data collection software, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
