Regional Sales Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Director to join our team at Three Pillars Recruiting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing regional agency, advertiser, and network relationships while working from their home office.

The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for approximately 75% of their sales focus on new business generation, while the other 25% will be on developing and growing existing accounts or migrating them from a trial to full usage.

The primary activities of the Regional Sales Director include:

  • Call and meeting setup
  • On-line WebEx demos
  • Client-facing information discovery
  • Proposal development
  • Translation of discovery into strategic and tactical recommendations
  • Contract ratification and execution
  • Client transfer to their Client Success Teams
Responsibilities:

The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for:

  • Developing a strategic sales plan for their territory to achieve revenue and customer goals
  • Expanding relationships with SEM & Display agencies, advertisers, and networks in a way that maximizes revenue opportunities and client satisfaction
  • Developing and maintaining strong, active relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels
  • Working with other Sales Directors on cross-territory opportunities
  • Understanding and communicating industry landscapes, trends, participants, and competitive offerings
  • Understanding and effectively communicating their company's value proposition, technology, processes, partnerships as they relate to the growth of current and prospective client accounts
  • Maintaining a sales pipeline
  • Working with marketing and other departments to develop case studies and related marketing materials
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of digital advertising experience
  • Experience selling location-based digital advertising or programmatic platform
  • Evidence of loyalty to previous employers (3+ years)
  • IAB Certified
  • Experience actively selling mobile and geo-fencing directly into brands
  • Experience selling data-driven programmatic into brands and agencies
  • Contacts with platform sellers
