Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements for various energy initiatives.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct analytics to assess reporting variances and provide insights.
  • Audit Collaboration: Liaise with external auditors during the year-end audit process.
  • Financial Data Compilation: Compile and analyze comprehensive financial information.
  • Impairment Calculations: Assist in calculating impairments and addressing other accounting matters.
  • Reporting Coordination: Coordinate reporting requirements with external stakeholders.
  • Report Creation: Develop schedules and reports utilizing Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements within the accounting department.
  • Technical Research: Investigate technical accounting issues to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • GAAP Knowledge: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification: CPA designation is preferred.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in multi-entity organizations or public accounting firms is advantageous.
  • Deadline Management: Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Workiva/Wdesk or Oracle Fusion is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
