Job Summary:
The Lactation Consultant I provides clinical support and education to breastfeeding mothers and their babies, while also collaborating with nursing staff and community groups to promote breastfeeding excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide consultative support to nursing staff on breastfeeding best practices and techniques
• Educate breastfeeding mothers and their families on proper breastfeeding techniques and troubleshooting common issues
• Collaborate with community breastfeeding support groups to promote breastfeeding awareness and resources
• Develop and implement breastfeeding education programs for nursing staff and community groups

Requirements:
• 2 years of clinical experience in breastfeeding required
• Graduate nursing degree or equivalent required
• International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification required within 1 year of hire

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm

Additional Information:
This is a full-time position with no call requirements. Weekend work may be required as needed.
