Job Summary

The University of Virginia's ITS Custom Applications & Consulting Services (CACS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Project Manager to support the Digital Technology Core (DTC) initiative. As a key member of the CACS team, you will work closely with developers, customers, and stakeholders to deliver mobile, web, and cloud-based technology solutions for research-related efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to capture requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Lead project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manage cross-functional technical resources and funding sources.
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate project updates to stakeholders regularly.
  • Facilitate project meetings and communications.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
  • Customer service mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with remote team members.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, and Scrum certifications.
  • Experience with Agile development practices and project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with open-source technologies and tools.
  • Experience working in an academic research environment.
  • Technical experience with web and mobile-based technologies and development tools.
Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. This is a 3-year term-limited position. The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check prior to their first day of employment.
