Ryder System Inc. is seeking a skilled CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team in a local home daily route position. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods within a designated area.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures.
- Load and unload freight, and assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customers.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Valid Class A CDL with endorsements for the position.
- 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years, or 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years of experience within the last 10 years.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, and to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
