The Medical-Surgical RN is tasked with delivering comprehensive patient care within a medical-surgical environment. This role encompasses:
- Conducting thorough assessments and monitoring the physical and emotional needs of patients.
- Administering medications, including intravenous therapies and blood products.
- Assisting in diagnostic evaluations and procedures.
- Monitoring and interpreting vital signs effectively.
- Documenting patient care accurately in medical records.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement patient care strategies.
- Providing education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
- Ensuring a safe and sanitary environment within the unit.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A valid RN license.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
- A minimum of two years of experience in a Medical-Surgical nursing role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Capability to perform well under pressure in high-stress situations.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
