Cage Cashier

Position Overview:

The Cage Cashier is entrusted with managing a designated bank of currency and coins while providing excellent service to Casino patrons through various responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitates transactions by making change, redeeming coupons, and cashing checks, vouchers, and casino chips.
• Adheres to established policies regarding guests, credit cards, tribal affiliations, and team member checks.
• Maintains accurate guest accounts in the casino's computer system and processes credit, safekeeping, and front money transactions.
• Ensures the security of assigned funds by verifying the accuracy of all payouts.
• Requests additional cash as necessary and verifies all incoming cash deposits.
• Conducts fund verifications for fellow Cashiers upon request.
• Secures all valuable items in the drawer before leaving the work area.
• Calls for assistance when any transaction raises suspicion.
• Reviews daily postings for any procedural updates.
• Checks posted schedules daily to confirm proper attendance.
• Works according to the assigned schedule, including potential overtime.
• Acts as the banker for Slot transactions, including handling Jackpots.
• Tracks all reportable transactions in compliance with Title 31 requirements.
• Attends all mandatory training sessions and departmental meetings.
• Delivers exceptional service to all casino guests, both external and internal.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Proficient in 10-key operations with a minimum of 6 months of cashiering experience. Relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is acceptable.

Compensation: $20.80 per hour

*Shift Differential: Non-exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
