Housing Resource Specialist

Make a difference in your community by supporting people facing housing insecurity. As a Housing Resource Navigator, you will help individuals overcome barriers and achieve their housing goals.

You will serve at a nonprofit organization or public agency that has a mission in housing advocacy, social services, and/or public assistance. Heading Home Corps provides valuable, hands-on experience and training to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help individuals experiencing homelessness achieve their housing goals.
• Assist clients in navigating social services resources, programs, and benefit systems.
• Foster strong relationships to help clients build their confidence and skills.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Gain hands-on experience in social services while embedded in a local organization.

Requirements:

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), internet searches, data entry, email communication (with attachments), databases and software use, and videoconferencing.
• Fluent in English.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.
