Job Description

Ultimate Software is seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of innovative solutions that enhance our frontend platform and drive a unified delightful experience across our suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for delivering user experience projects
  • Lead the development of complex projects with minimal guidance, anticipating issues and recognizing risks
  • Influence across levels and prepare technical content for the team to execute and deliver on initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI-powered capabilities with customer-facing services
  • Provide leadership, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior technical leadership role
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale, complex UI projects
  • Deep expertise in UI technologies, architectures, and applications
  • Extensive experience in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and DevOps practices
  • Passion for fostering a culture of innovation and a commitment to diversity and inclusion

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $137,900 to $198,250
  • A short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation
