Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Nurse to join our team at Genesee County Health Department. As a Public Health Nurse, you will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the health of individuals, families, and the community through teaching, counseling, and medical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote health and prevent disease through education, counseling, and medical care
  • Develop and implement community health programs and services
  • Collaborate with community groups and organizations to promote health and well-being
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Provide guidance and support to community members on health-related issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Registered as a nurse in the State of Michigan or possess a temporary permit pending final registration
  • Valid Michigan driver's license and a vehicle for use on County Business
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in public health nursing or a related field
  • Knowledge of public health laws and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
