Tower Erection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Tower Erection Specialist to join our team at Hayden Tower Service, Inc.

Estimated Salary: $40-$60 per hour

Job Overview

As a Tower Erection Specialist, you will be responsible for installing tower foundations, equipment shelter foundations, access roads, and compound areas at wireless communication sites throughout the Midwest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel out of town for up to two weeks at a time to various construction sites.
  • Excavate footings, tower foundations, tower anchors, grounding trenches, and power and telephone trenches as per site drawings and supervisor's instructions.
  • Install ground rods and ground rings and ensure all Thermo Welded joints are acceptable.
  • Glue conduits together in accordance with site drawings and supervisor's instruction.
  • Tie rebar, pour required concrete, and finish and rub foundations and slabs.
  • Backfill and pack all excavations to prevent settling.
  • Operate skid-steers, backhoes, excavators, and compacting equipment as needed.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and maintain a good driving record.
  • Receive and follow direction from crew chief and assist in ensuring trucks and equipment are well maintained and organized.

Requirements:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be willing to learn how to operate heavy equipment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Class B or Class A CDL (highly desired).
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
