About the Role

At Signature Healthcare at Home, we are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Hospice Volunteers. As a Hospice Volunteer, you will play a vital role in providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during a challenging time.

Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and support to patients and families in their homes or in our facilities
  • Engage in activities that bring joy and comfort to patients, such as reading, listening to music, or simply being present
  • Assist with tasks that promote a sense of control and dignity, such as writing letters or creating legacy projects
  • Participate in our volunteer training program to learn about the needs of patients and families, and how to provide effective support
  • Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be comfortable with the emotional demands of this role and be able to maintain confidentiality and respect patient and family boundaries.
