Per Diem Athletic Trainer

As a Per Diem Athletic Trainer, you will provide athletic training services and administrative support for JAG Physical Therapy's outreach contracts in Long Island, NY. This role requires adherence to state practice regulations, professional standards, and collaboration with medical professionals to ensure optimal care for athletes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide athletic trainer services for athletic events and competitions.
- Coordinate, manage, and implement the medical and risk management of all athletes, inclusive of preventative care and emergency care.
- Demonstrate speed, efficiency, and flexibility in the provision of care, utilizing effective critical thinking skills.
- Document injury, illness, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., in adherence with JAG Athletic Training policy and state licensure professional practice standards.
- Utilize effective communication skills to involve athlete, family, and others as necessary and appropriate in plan of care.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training (CAATE Approved program) and completion of the BOC certification.
- Maintain the BOC-required 50 CEU's per certification period (every two years).
- Licensed by the State of New York as an Athletic Trainer.
- Current BLS certification.
- Maintain Personal Liability Insurance.
- Flexibility and adaptability necessary to adjust to fluid situations is a must.
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including exclusive access to complimentary Continuing Education credits, Supervising Physician Standing Orders provided, discounted CPR certification, and Supportive Leadership.
