Key Responsibilities
- Conducts evaluations and provides treatment to patients as per physician directives
- Completes thorough assessments utilizing appropriate tools and methodologies
- Reviews patient histories for current diagnoses and medical considerations
- Sets measurable objectives and formulates treatment plans to help patients achieve their highest level of independence
- Regularly evaluates the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjusts as necessary
- Communicates patient needs and progress to the healthcare team, including physicians and family members
- Collaborates with medical professionals regarding patient evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning
- Recommends and assists in obtaining specialized adaptive equipment to enhance patient functionality
- Maintains accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and billing in compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Adheres to the company’s Code of Conduct, policies, and relevant laws
- Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and aides in patient care activities as per state regulations
- Participates in staff development programs and continues education to enhance clinical skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the relevant state
- Current certification in Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation as per state requirements
- At least one year of professional experience as a physical therapist is preferred
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological conditions
- Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Physical capability to perform job-related tasks, including lifting and mobility activities
- A health screening may be required to ensure physical fitness for the role.
