Job Summary / Purpose
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing and implementing therapeutic interventions for patients referred for speech and language disorders. This role involves contributing to the enhancement of treatment protocols and supporting the overall objectives of the department.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Exhibits the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver age-appropriate care to patients.
- Conducts evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with established guidelines and departmental protocols.
- Administers effective treatment plans and performs ongoing assessments to adjust therapies, maximizing patients' functional independence.
- Completes all necessary documentation and maintains accurate records to comply with regulatory standards.
- Demonstrates efficiency and productivity by effectively organizing responsibilities.
- Maintains clear communication regarding therapy programs and departmental matters.
- Ensures that equipment and the treatment environment are safe and well-maintained.
- Commits to ongoing professional development and competency enhancement.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required Education: Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Required Licensure and Certifications: Valid state license, national SLP certification, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective time management abilities, and prior experience in a rehabilitation setting.
Pay Range: Competitive hourly rate.
