We are seeking a skilled Decorative Coatings Technician to join our team at 360 Painting of Ashburn. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of painting experience and be able to work independently as an independent contractor. Estimated earnings for this part-time or full-time position range from $50,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience and the number of jobs taken.
About the Job- The Decorative Coatings Technician will be responsible for preparing various surfaces for painting, applying finishes in a residential and light commercial setting, and ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
- They will also be required to answer customer questions, clean up job sites after each job is completed, and pull inventory as needed to complete jobs.
- In addition, they will be expected to mix, match, and blend paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains, and special protective coatings to achieve desired color, consistency, and drying properties.
- The ideal candidate will have at least one year of painting experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license and insurance.
- They must also have active contractor license and general liability insurance, and be able to pass a screening process which includes background checks.
- In addition, they should have knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment, and supplies used in the residential/commercial paint field.
