Back Waiter

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Back Waiter to join our team at Sage Hospitality. As a Back Waiter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities- Clearing and Setting Tables: Clear all used tableware, napkins, and refuse from tables to tubs in the bus station and wipe tables, chairs, and clear debris and crumbs from floor areas surrounding tables.
- Resetting Tables: Reset tables in accordance with established standards to seat new customers as quickly as possible.
- Supply Management: Retrieve cleaned dishes, glassware, and utensils from the dish room and distribute to each service station to keep a ready supply available for restaurant use.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep restaurant floors throughout the shift to maintain a clean, presentable, and attractive restaurant.
- Stockroom Management: Retrieve requisitioned items from the stockroom, ensuring the requisition is complete and correct, and stocking supplies in proper places, rotating stock at all times.
- Assisting Waitstaff: Assist waitstaff by refilling customers' beverages and accommodating requests for additional condiments, food items, or clean/fresh tableware.
- Ice Station Maintenance: Keep ice stations filled at all times by carrying buckets of ice from the main ice machine and pouring into individual ice stations.
- Customer Service: Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
- Basic Knowledge of Restaurant Operations: Must have basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
- Lifting and Carrying: Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lbs to include serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment up to 75% of the time.
- Mobility: Full range of mobility and the ability to travel up to 300 feet on a regular basis throughout the shift.
- Continuous Standing: Continuous standing during preparation, during service hours, or during expediting.
- Reading and Monitoring: Ability to read meters and controls.
