Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the care and services delivered by LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, and other team members who assist residents.
  • Coordinate nursing care for residents, ensuring that all residents are paired with staff capable of delivering suitable care.
  • Administer safe and precise medication-related interventions for residents.
  • Evaluate residents' health, alert physicians to any changes in condition, and promptly carry out new orders.
  • Formulate a care plan based on assessments and implement nursing interventions.
  • Select and apply appropriate nursing actions to stabilize residents' conditions and prevent complications.
  • Contribute to residents' assessments (MDS/CAA's) and the formulation of care plans.
  • Exhibit knowledge of fundamental nursing practices with a focus on gerontological nursing.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in a long-term care environment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

~ Additional certification in a nursing specialty is preferred.
