Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at e CancerCare. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing patient-driven care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver treatment with an emphasis on assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify Patient Care Requirements: Establish personal rapport with patients and their families to understand care requirements.
- Provide Emotional Support: Create a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
- Teach Patient Care Skills: Establish patient care goals, teach patients and their families to understand their condition, medications, and self-care skills, and answer questions.
- Ensure Quality of Care: Adhere to therapeutic standards, measure health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, and make necessary adjustments.
- Resolve Patient Problems: Utilize multidisciplinary team strategies to resolve patient problems and needs.
- Maintain a Safe Working Environment: Comply with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, and call for assistance when necessary.
- Protect Patients and Employees: Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols, safe medication administration, mixing, and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Document Patient Care Services: Chart in patient and department records, maintaining continuity among nursing teams.
- Ensure Equipment Operation: Complete preventive maintenance requirements, follow manufacturer's instructions, troubleshoot malfunctions, and maintain equipment inventories.
- Maintain Nursing Supplies Inventory: Check stock to determine inventory level, anticipate needed supplies, place and expedite orders, verify receipt of supplies, and use equipment and supplies as needed.
- Update Professional Knowledge: Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, establish personal networks, and participate in professional societies.
- Maintain a Respectful Cooperative Relationship: Communicate information, respond to requests, build rapport, and participate in team problem-solving methods.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Ability to Work a Flexible Schedule: As necessary.
- Education: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with a diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Licensure: Passed the NCLEX-RN and licensed by the state.
- Preferred Skills: Bachelor of Science in a related field.
- Required Competencies: Excellent judgment, dependability, conscientious performance, detail-oriented, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, caring and empathetic, high ethical standards, mechanical ability, and manual dexterity for operating complicated equipment.

Pay Range: $42-$50 hourly.
