Job Description

MRI Technologist Job Summary

Focus Staff is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in New York. As an MRI Technologist with Focus Staff, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and procedures, utilizing your expertise to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities

  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care utilizing efficient and safe processes.
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address concerns, exhibiting a high degree of tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety, including explaining safety protocol and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.

Requirements

  • Two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist, fully proficient in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • License in required state.
  • BLS.
  • Fully proficient in MRI and knowledgeable of required protocols in performing complex MRI procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other incumbents of the organization.
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
  • Two years of hospital experience in clinical area; EP preferred.
