Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Clinical Resource Team at UPMC Western Maryland Health Services, LLC. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support services to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including activities of daily living, as directed by the RN and LPN.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including completing safety checks and keeping the department and patient rooms clean and organized.
  • Respond to patient needs and calls in a timely manner.
  • Acquire and distribute supplies and equipment to facilitate patient care delivery.
  • Deliver patient nourishments and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Perform routine tests, such as resident weights and vital signs.
  • Provide feedback to the RN/LPN regarding patient care and report changes in patient status in a timely manner.
  • Assure equipment malfunctions are reported to the appropriate department.
  • Contribute to universal unit activities, including responding to call lights and telephones, passing meal trays, and transporting patients.
Qualifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
  • Completion of a certified nursing program required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of general healthcare experience or six months of experience as a UPMC Nursing Assistant/CNA with PCT competency achieved within 120 days of hire/transfer/promotion.
