Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing exceptional food service to students in a safe and healthful manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate food preparation and serving according to menus and portion sizes as mandated by yield guides.
  • Delegate and perform cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing.
  • Coordinate ordering and receiving of all food, beverage and paper products needed for daily service.
  • Brew coffee, fill beverage machines, and set up hot and/or cold food areas.
  • Deliver food to staff, students, and catering events as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local health department requirements for safe food handling.
  • Comply with all client location security protocols and guidelines.
  • Check and store incoming supplies.
  • Manage and follow assigned break schedules.
  • Participate on safety committees.
  • Attend all mandatory in-service programs.
  • Manage POS/cash handling by team members and confirm all deposits.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all Whitsons policies and procedures at all times.
  • Support the goals, objectives, and mission statement set forth by Whitsons.
  • Comply with all requirements of the mandated food handling certification requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
