Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Manager to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the department, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specific departmental goals, plans, and regulatory standards to support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Prepare policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure the department is inspection-ready at all times.
- Manage staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict resolution.
- Develop training materials and competency assessment tools used by the department and ensure associated documentation is up-to-date.
- Investigate and recommend testing procedures in conjunction with the Medical and Laboratory directors.
- Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
- Provide input to the budget and monitor expenses for the department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Clinical Lab Supervisor License (SU LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL) required.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based work with occasional laboratory work.
- May be required to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
